Apply image texture to icon

In my case the icon is a trouser.png which was selected from material design icons.
I tied with yur approach but complete icon is getting overlapped with selected texture

can u throw some light here… May be i am missing something

In this case, you can achieve what you want in the following ways:

1. Using mask.

2. Changing the blend mode.

3. Either find a vector icon, or draw one yourself and add a fill to it as described in the Help Center article linked in the previous post.
