Adding 'gradient' color as variant

Hello, I am setting up bunch of colors as variants and then also using Semantics system to organize my color sets - so that I can work with the devs more easily.

I have few gradient colors that I was able to set as variants but there is an issue with saving those gradient variants into Semantics.

When I turn those gradient variants into Semantic, it just shows plain white instead of the correct colorway.

Anyone with an idea or suggestion would be much appreciated!
