Not being able to use keyboard shortcuts in the variable collections menu/manager can really disrupt the workflow.
Sometimes for example, because I’m so used to ‘ctrl/cmd+d’ to duplicate something, I try to duplicate a variable using this and accidentally end up duplicating something in my canvas.

Just adding some simple shortcuts would improve the QoL and workflow with variables. Here are some quick examples:

  • ‘esc’ to exit the menu
  • ‘ctrl/cmd+n’ to create a new variable
  • use tab/enter to choose which type of variable
  • ‘ctrl/cmd+d’ to duplicate a variable
  • ‘ctrl/cmd+r’ to rename a variable

Hey @Alex119, thanks for the feedback!

We’ll pass this onto our Variables team for future consideration.

Is this still being considered?

I would really love to be able to open the Variables panel with a keyboard shortcut. It definitely interrupts my user flow to have to click off the panel I’m on and then move the cursor to the right hand column in order to access it.
