When I tried to rotate several layers in different groups, they are multi-edited. I just want to know how to temporarily disable Multi-edit feature to give back the legacy rotating & resizing behavior?

For example I want to rotate multiple shape in this logo:

There are layers that are masked and placed in different groups. Previously they would be rotated as a group of selected items although they were not grouped, in other words they had the same pivot in the center of the selection.

But now they are rotated individually around their own pivots.

New Multi-edit feature is useful if you work on multiple frames with similar objects. But in a specific place or frame or group, it is not necessary. Those selected layers obviously are not “matching layers” at all.

I also found out that objects that in the same level/group/section will be rotated the way I mentioned like in this video. But sometimes I also need them to have the same pivot.

Hey @Phu_Nguyen, thanks for the feedback!

There isn’t a way to toggle off multi-edit, but you make some great points! We’ve passed this onto our multi-edit team to review and possibly reconsider this current behavior.

Hey, I have a similar problem with overlapping shapes between two frames. Before I could perfectly match shapes with the aligment panel. After the multi-edit update I have to manually match them by eye, because I have no option to align shapes across frame borders.

Hey @Freddy, thank you for taking your time to share your feedback! As my college mentioned before unfortunately, there isn’t currently a way to toggle off multi-edit.

However, this feedback is very valuable to us. I’ve just shared this with the team internally.

Can’t promise anything but stay tuned for future updates!

Thanks,

Gayani

I’ve used multi-edit on purpose like twice, but have had to undo accidentally multi-editing many times a day since it’s release. I really don’t like or need this feature. +100 for ability to toggle it off by default.
