I want to move thin and small objects in Figma easily
So that I can easily reposition dividers and the like
On macOS, I’m zoomed out and trying to move the selected rectangle, but there is no where I can click to begin moving the rectangle without causing a resize.
I propose that we enable moving the item by dragging the dimensions “tag” (see [1 × 900] in screenshot).
It is not too hard to deselect the object and try dragging without selecting, but it is less comfortable for me since I may not know exactly which item I’m dragging util I begin moving it.
Wondering if there’s a solution yet for this. It’s driving me nuts. Exactly 3 years later and no one else is having this issue? I feel like I’m missing something…
Would be great if we could just hold down a modifier key to suppress the resize functionality.

Yeah, definitely need this for the Divider or Separator component. It’s really hard to work with these now
