When editing a layout in Figma, a copy doc needs to be updated in parallel. This can be time consuming, and prone to error. For your consideration: A better Figma / Google Docs integration that streamlines our team’s workflow by either:

  • Live updating copy in a Figma layout, as text is edited in a Google Doc (OR)

  • Live updating a Google Doc as a Figma layout copy is edited

This would help streamline our process by saving duplicate work, and reducing human error.

1000% this, but it’d just generally be nice to see integrations for Google docs, Google sheets, Word, and Excel. Photoshop has variable data sets and InDesign allows you to import PDF comments or link content back to word processors or spreadsheets. I’ve had so many project recently that were total pains because Figma doesn’t have integrations for these things 😩

Thanks for the feedback, @Nikola_Keavy!

I’ve updated your topic for clarity and moved it the the Share an idea category. I’ll pass this idea onto our team for future consideration.

There are a couple of Plugins that create a large workaround exactly for this, like data.to.design

My work needs this as well. We need to create copy decks that match the Figma boards for legal review and translations. After many rounds of revisions, there can be human error in manually updating both. Need something that exports Figma to Google Docs, in a way that is 1:1 and “nice looking” enough to share with clients. I have tried some plugins but they dont match stuff like superscripts, and are generally not organized enough to share with client.
