Add a laser pointer to the board so it would be easier for the presenter to direct the attention of audiences to specific parts without the need to actually underline, write, circle etc on the board.
@Milad2 Thanks for the suggestion - I think spotlighting may help a bit with this. When others in the file are spotlighting you, they’ll follow where you’re at on the canvas. That gives them direct visibility into directly what you’re focusing on when presenting: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/5025214483351-Facilitate-meetings-with-spotlight
I do understand that having some sort of cursor pointer may fit your use-case better, but just wanted to offer up a possible alternative.
Adding a laser pointer to your whiteboard is a great idea to enhance your presentation experience. Such a tool would allow the presenter to easily direct the audience’s attention to specific parts without having to highlight, write, or underline on the board.
Laser pointer is essential for using fig jam for STEM tutoring. PLEASE add a laser pointer!!!
I often need to highlight “this quantity” as opposed to “that quantity”. The student can see the location I am referring to on Fig Jam but it is MUCH more effective when you can press the mouse and have a laser pointer flash on to direct attention to the specific quantity being referenced. I know this from thousands of hours tutoring STEM on Jam Board using the laser pointer feature.
I have been trying to find an alternative solution to Jamboard and the laser feature is the biggest thing missing from every program I have looked at. I use my iPad to write out math problems and work through them with students on Google Meet. On the computer, I can use the curser to direct their attention to something, but that is not an option on the iPad. A laser would be a HUGE help!
I also NEED a laser pointer for math tutoring to write a number for correction circling ect
