Hi Figma team,I often need to show the flow between screens or components in my Figma design files. Currently, I find myself copying arrows from FigJam into Figma because they’re quick, lightweight, and visually ideal for interaction mapping. One of the things I really appreciate about FigJam arrows is how they automatically adjust when elements are moved and how they bend intelligently, something most plugins or manual arrow workarounds don’t handle well. It’s a huge time-saver when exploring flows or doing quick iteration, and it keeps everything clean and readable. With the recent addition of annotation and measurement tools in Figma, I was wondering if similar arrow/connector functionality could be added natively to Figma design files. Having this built in would make it so much easier to communicate user journeys, navigation, or logic flows directly within a design file, especially during handoff or design reviews. Thanks for all the amazing updates you’ve been rolling out!
Feature to create 'flow interactions’. Meaning interactions that are only active within a specified flow. If no flow is specified, the interaction behaves as it currently does. This feature would allow to assign different actions to the same element (e.g., a button) depending on the active flow. For example:In Flow A, clicking a button navigates to Page A. In Flow B, clicking the same button navigates to Page B.Would help for: Easily compare different user journeys without duplicating frames or creating multiple prototypes Reduces clutter by eliminating the need for separate copies of the same element or screen for different flows Supports more complex, context-aware prototyping scenarios
Hi Figma team, First, thanks for the amazing work on the design tools. I’d like to request a larger window for the color variable picker. I understand that resizing the text style picker might be difficult due to font binding and async loading. However, for the color variable picker, it seems relatively straightforward since the window can already be dragged. Is there a reason why resizing isn’t supported? Modified by tampermonkey
Similar to how we can filter colors from different libraries, We also should be able to select and filter typographies from different libraries.Colors Library Selection:
I could work faster if I was able to type my variable or style names directly into the HEX value input. Save me a click please!
It would be great to have an option like "Highlight Text" in the text editor tool next to the underline text option.
This has become a defacto standard in modern apps (Chrome, VS Code etc) and it sticks out that Figma doesn’t support. Also seems like a pretty quick win to implement.
We work in a large company with over 100k employees and have very strict rules on how to share content with clients. What we are missing are advanced sharing options for “only-view”. Sometimes, we want to share content as a ‘view-only link’ with the client to receive comments and feedback directly on the artboards. Other times, we want to share as a ‘view-only link’ but without the possibility for viewers to leave comments. This crucial option is currently unavailable for us, and it would be great if this feature could be added to the sharing options. Thanks! 👍
I would really like to be able to grab the hex color when I am in Draw mode. I have to switch back to Design mode to do this.
Could be great to copy HEX code quickly by helding down option key and click on a color with or without color style/variable.
Hello, I would like to give you feedback from users! New function - annotation very nice and useful. Thank you. There are a few comments - maybe it will be useful for your product. I'd just like the ability to group cards. Also, with a large number of cards in a single frame, it becomes very crowded and the cards overlap, which isn't very convenient. It might be better if will possible to customize the position of the cards and perhaps add a hide/show feature in the right panel so they don't interfere with other work—like you can do with the grid. This is a new feature, and I wanted to leave some feedback, as my company really appreciated it! Thanks again.
Figma Make recently added the ability to bring generated ideas into Figma Design files. This is great.I started developing a workflow where I:get Make to generate the initial concept (with linked design system) Copy the generated frames into a Design file to tweak (as this is quicker than crafting a bunch of prompts) - and create components. Copy the updated designs back into Make and continue adjusting. Repeat steps 2 and 3This feels like a good hybrid approach to working alongside the AI to craft interfaces.Between steps 2 and 3 - on the second iteration - where I have pasted the updated version into Make, made more changes and then copied that version back into Design - all the component instances have been converted into frames. When working on long term projects I want to be able to do some of the work in Design and some in Make - right now I have to chose one or the other due to this limitation.
Hello! As mentioned earlier in posts such as Prototype - Interactions - Event listener & ElseIF conditional, it would be really useful to have interactions trigger from variable changes. Right now, you can already accomplish these by combining conditional statements with the “After delay” interaction, but it is extremely tedious to maintain and demands a lot of janky component work (see example of implementation in video). Simply having “Listen for change in variable X” as an interaction would be a really powerful tool to create reusable components for advanced prototypes.
I’d love to see Figma support print projects more seamlessly. Features like setting up bleed, margins, and crop lines after a document is created would make it easier to prepare files for print. Adding options for more advanced PDF exporting, such as including crop marks and setting output resolution, would also be valuable. It would be great to have built-in tools for flattening images, outlining text, and working with CMYK colors to ensure print accuracy. These additions would make Figma an even more versatile tool for designers handling both digital and print projects. I’ve tried plugins but they always seem to be missing something or end up shifting my elements.
Good morning everyone!I discovered figma in 2022 when taking a course on UI/UX design for the web — and I instantly fell in love with it.Since then, I’ve been using it for everything, including print design — flyers, business cards, signage, packaging... you name it. It is a wonderful tool and more than enough to produce professional renders.I’m only missing the ability to export PDFs with advanced print specs like: Overprint settings ICC profile embedding (like ISO Coated v2 300%) CMYK color management Bleed and margin controls Spot colors / named channels (e.g., for varnish or Pantone inks) I usually work around using third-party plugins — but it’s not ideal.Anyone else here using Figma for print work? How are you handling these limitations? Do you use plugins like TinyImage or Pitchdeck? Or do you jump to InDesign/Illustrator at the last step?Would love to hear your workflows — and maybe raise awareness for better native print export options in Figma 🙏
When I’m working in Figma Make, when the AI is thinking and/or writing code, I will often do something else for the 1-10 minutes its working. And sometimes the AI pauses for no apparent reason and needs a nudge to continue. I have to constantly check to ensure the AI is still working and to see when it’s finished working. The fact that the AI has paused or the Stop button has appeared is not enough affordance when my attention is split. When the AI stops working (whether because it’s finished or stuck) I’d like a large affordance to capture my attention so I can get the AI working again or enter my next prompt. Some thoughts:A bright green banner above the chatbox that says the AI is ready for my next prompt. A bright pink banner above the chatbox that says the AI is has paused and needs a nudge to continue. Switch the ui from light mode to dark mode twice to captuer may attention
I made a small animated icon in Figma with Smart Animate. I want to export it as a looping video or a GIF. However, there's no clean way to export it like this natively in Figma. Currently my workaround is to just screenrecord, but I can't help thinking there should be a better way than this.
There are many times I want to go back in the conversation thread and find something I’ve written previously, but after 800 iterations, that’s nearly impossible. If I could hide the AI’s side of the conversation, I could much more easily find my earlier prompts.
tl;dr Adding options for crop marks and print bleed expands the usefulness of PDF exports and better leverages Figma for print design. Problem Figma is a fantastic design tool. So much so, designers are finding it capable beyond screen design and into the world of print. The PDF export option allows designers to easily produce posters, business cards, and other print-based documents that have been created via Figma. Although the PDF Export option is useful in many situations, it falls short in some areas that limit its ease of use for print designers. One way the PDF Export falls short is the absence of crop marks and print bleed. These elements are essential for designers wishing to use Figma to produce printed documents with elements cropped to the edge of the page. It is possible to work around these issues, but not without extra effort and knowledge of Figma and print beyond the basics. Solution Print production is a broad subject. To fully address print production would be to incl
I’m a designer at a large e-commerce company. I introduced Figma to a team that worked exclusively in Adobe, and I’m now leading an organization-wide shift to make Figma our primary tool—for web and print. We’re building a label-automation workflow entirely in Figma, and I believe there’s a big product opportunity for Figma here. The problemEnterprise security policies (ours included) often block Google/Microsoft data sharing, so external connectors aren’t viable. Yet modern print ops—labels, care tags, manuals, packaging—are data-driven at scale. Adobe tools have been hard to automate and to collaborate in; Figma is the only environment that fits our collaboration + automation needs, if key print/data features are native. The opportunity for FigmaA secure, file-scoped, on-canvas data + print-ready export workflow would let commerce, manufacturing, logistics, and retail teams run high-volume print production inside Figma, expanding usage beyond design into ops, QA, vendor management, and
We should get option to detach all components inside all the selected Frames in one click which will detach all nested and parent compoents in one click.

Thumbnails will not be updated (or not predictably anyway) in the project gallery unless you perform Restore default thumbnail + Set as thumbnail sequence on the wanted frame. This problem has been around forever, would be great to finally fix it as it is pretty annoying. Found this ticket describing it, which was closed sadly: My new thumbnail didn't refresh even after waiting 8h how to force refresh?
My question is in the title. Can auto-emoji be disabled when typing? For example, when copy-pasting “↔” in a text field, Figma will automatically render the emoji that matches those arrows. Can this (feature?) be disabled somewhere, maybe temporarily? I looked around on https://help.figma.com/ but found nothing about.
Today it seems that a comment’s date/time does not update with the last reply date/time in the comment thread. This makes following comment threads kind of impossible or at least hard.E.g. if I sort comments by date I see comments from 3 days ago on top even though there are comments that have a reply more recently than that.Sorting comments by ‘unread’ is not a solution because I might click through them quickly and then they will move out of the top of the list to anywhere where they move (based on comment creation date I guess). What is the purpose of having comment threads if it’s only possible to sort them by creation date? Or am I missing something obvious? Thanks.
