Figma needs an autolayout option for tables, or grids. None of the extensions or apps work well. Designers like me need to make grids all the time. Right now, I make autolayout rows, but they invariably need to be synced with the column header, which I do manually by editing fixed width.

Please add an autolayout for grid that would allow items to be in both a column and a row.

Hey there, I've just started designing tables in grids. It would be great to have an option to show/hide column/row in table settings. Currently there is only remove option.

Yo, I built GenTable that i think solves this problem. It's live in the Figma community now.

The plugin has both horizontal (standard rows) and vertical (column-based) layout modes with automatic syncing between headers and cells.

Key difference from other table plugins: GenTable lets you map your existing Figma components (buttons, chips, status indicators, etc.) to cell types, then uses AI generates realistic table data using CSV format.

It uses Gemini api because you get a good amount of free usages per day, the api key is stored in figma storage.

Its free Let me know what you think :D
