There’s currently only Mac device frames to represent desktops. For showing UIs on Windows it would be nice to have a Windows laptop device frame to not confuse or distract stakeholders who expect a Windows design presentation.
I have a bunch of stickies that I’d like to make into shapes (rectangles) so that I can resize them/remove authorship. Is there a way to do this besides copy and pasting text into a new shape?
I would like to express my concern regarding the new interface design (UI3). Specifically, the fixed action bar is quite uncomfortable for the design experience. The fact that it cannot be moved or repositioned freely limits the visibility of the canvas and disrupts the workflow—especially when working on large projects or with many elements. This static bar visually interferes and reduces the effective working area, which is a significant drawback compared to the previous version, where users could adapt the workspace to their preferences.I would appreciate it if you could consider offering an option to customize the position of this bar or make it floating, as it was in UI2.Thank you for your attention and for continuing to improve the tool.
SummaryApril Fun Week has come and gone, and with it, our beloved FigPals have been snatched from this cruel digital plane. I humbly propose the addition of a FigPal Cemetery – a memorial space within Figma where we can honor the memory of our lost pixelated companions.BackgroundFor one brief, shining week, tiny joy-gremlins followed our cursors around the canvas. They watched us prototype. They witnessed our questionable auto-layout decisions. They were there for us in ways no plugin ever could be.And now? They're gone. Just gone. No goodbye. No grave. No closure.Proposed Feature A toggleable "Cemetery Mode" in Figma Tombstones for each FigPal variant (ghost variants optional) Visitors can leave notes ("You always hovered with such enthusiasm", "Rest in pixels") Epitaph generator (e.g., “Here lies Blurple the Bold. Died chasing a component into an infinite frame nest.”) Optional seasonal ghost sightings around Halloween 👻 RationaleThe design community needs a space for collec
Problem StatementAs a designer who frequently presents work to clients, I need a way to present specific sections of my design file without duplicating frames across pages or creating complex prototype flows. Currently, there's no streamlined way to selectively show frames from the same page during presentations.Current LimitationsPresentation View: Works only for all frames on a page or manually selected frames, but doesn't allow for predefined sections Duplicate Pages: Creates maintenance overhead when designs change, requiring updates in multiple places Prototype Flows: Overly complex for simple presentation needs FigJam Boards: Requires moving content to a different environment Dev Mode: Primarily for development handoff, not optimized for client presentationsProposed SolutionA Section-Based Presentation Mode that would allow designers to:Define "presentation sections" within a single page Tag or group frames as belonging to specific presentation sections Choose which section(s) to
I would Figma to provide form controls such as radio, dropdown etc. functionalities by default. Those are so heavily used in some designs but then to create how a radio should behave in real scenario, that needs a lot of efforts currently in Figma. These are some of the features I miss from Axure. Creating a dropdown with list options and interactions for those are inbuilt in Axure. I don’t understand what prevents Figma to provide those just of the shelf. Until that I need to deal with the frustrations!
Can you allow us to keep the April updates like the 90s pixelated cursors (RIP bunny kao ani cursor) and this year’s FigPets? I know it’s a short term, fun thing you guys are only doing for the month of April or a few weeks, etc., but in a world that is constantly demanding and sucking dopamine as well as the life out of you, you can’t underestimate how much some of these things really bring delight and joy to users (who are themselves often working overtime to bring delight and joy to users). Also, RIP to Kero my often angry but sometimes calm froggy and my teammate’s burned toast.kthxbye
Want to be able to speed up and crop videos on slides
Plugins are very integrated part of any Figma workflow, current toolbar is capable of more buttons, which can be seen in other Figma plugins.I would like to have the option to show plugins so I can access it more quickly.
In Figjam, shapes can be "free-resized" to accommodate whatever location and contents one would like, without resizing the font - the text re-flows:Shapes can be resized however you like regardless of contentStickies, however, seem to have two shapes available regardless of the content, which then just grow in height as you add more text (or they scale the contents if you resize from the corner):Stickies can not be nicely resizedAl they do is grow veritcally.I would like to simply be able to resize my stickies in a free manner and have the contents reflow at whatever font size I’ve selected (without resizing it for me), just like the shapes. Sure, in some cases I can just use shapes in place of stickies… but I shouldn’t have to.
If anyone else is annoyed with the new UI toolbar (toolbelt) being at the bottom of the screen instead of top - here’s CSS which puts it on top and shrinks it when not used: div[class^="positioned_design_toolbelt--root"] { bottom: auto; top: 12px; transition: all 0.25s ease; max-width: 300px; margin: auto !important;}div[class^="positioned_design_toolbelt--root"]:not(.positioned_design_toolbelt--root--INYO4:hover, :has([style*="display: contents"])) { bottom: auto; max-width: 46px; overflow: hidden; border-radius: 8px; opacity: 0.2; }div[class^="positioned_design_toolbelt--root"]:not(div[class^="positioned_design_toolbelt--root"]:hover, :has([style*="display: contents"])) button { opacity: 0; transition: all 0.2s ease;}div[class^="positioned_design_toolbelt--root"] [data-keyboard-receiver]>*,div[class^="positioned_design_toolbelt--root"] [data-keyboard-receiver]>*>* { top: 50px; height: fit-content;}You can put this CSS with any browser
I’m not sure how else to describe this, but you almost need to have used Adobe XD, I think, to appreciate this. XD has (it’s not fully dead yet) smoothing and panning that is buttery smooth. If you haven’t experienced it, you may not understand what you’re missing. But boy, if Figma could match that, users would be amazed! It’s genuinely one of the things I absolutely loved most about XD.
Since it contains most of the information regarding what the selected layer actually contains, it should be flotable and size adjustable imo.
It seems that I can’t share Devmode with a client or external resource even if they have a Pro account. The only option is if the client is part of the same team. This would mean that I will need to add any external resources to my team and handle their billing too.
Currently, Figma users can only left-justify text in a paragraph, which hinders print layout that requires a right-justified text alignment. It shouldn’t be a complicated feature build and would certainly help make Figma more layout-friendly.
Hello, I got a problem while prototyping and I would be interested in your opinion about it. When you’re prototyping on a big project we all know that it becomes really difficult with all those lines connecting a component to another one. I usually use the prototype to test the interaction but what if when I find an error on the prototype? It becomes really difficult to understand which precise frame it is. So in the prototype preview, I think it would be great to have not (only) the screen number “12/56” but the name of that frame to make it easier to find in the page. I don’t know if I’m the only one experiencing this problem (maybe it’s just because I’m not using the right way to prototype?). Have anyone of you experienced this?
I communicate back and forth with developers through comments in my figma file and when they reply to one of my comments I get an email notification but it doesn’t show me in the file directly which comments are new from last time. If I open the file up and want to see a birdseye view of which comments are new from the last time I looked, I can’t do that right now. I have to look through all of the comments and look for their first initial to see if they added anything new. This feature would save a lot of time in communication through comments.
When designing using an iPad or touchscreen device it takes a lot of taps to hit the delete button for an object. It would be great if the delete button was located in the context menu so I can long press to access the button.
With the new Figma Slides i see something that is still happening: The PDFs exports is too much heavy. I know the whole thing is to present the presentations inside the Figma, but of course we will send this to people that is not familiar with the software or just want to keep the presentation in PDF with him. And it’s embarassing to, everytime i want to export some PDF, i have to use a plugin. Even few slides reaches like 30mb. It is in Beta, so i want to bring this problem to the case! I think Flides will be revolutionary.
I’m am trying to prototype a price increasing as you add something to your cart. I want the UI to show $0.00 to start, but when I go to make my starting number variable and type in 0.00 and hit enter it automatically changes it to just 0. So how I’m having to use a boolean to show/hide the .00. It would also be great if dollar signs could be included in numeric variables, so I don’t have to make separate text box for them.
It would be nice to have the ability to add animations to the elements on the slide instead of only between slides. Of course you could duplicate slides and remove the parts you want to progressively reveal but that could quickly clutter the grid.
Hi, Figma team and community users!TLDRI’d like to gently suggest a feature to support color fonts 🤍🙏 Likes and comments help!---I’m Min building a color fonts at bake-ai.com/fonts, featuring quirky, creative, and trendy fonts that modern designers love. However, Figma doesn’t yet support color fonts (like sbix, colr, OpenSVG), while tools like Photoshop and Zeplin already do. Honestly, since Figma already renders emoji fonts, it feels like support for color fonts might be technically feasible? If there’s any reason this isn’t on the roadmap, I’d love to understand more—and if there’s anything I can contribute technically or design-wise to make this happen, I’m all in. + Also, if anyone reading this is curious, feel free to explore and try typing with color fonts directly at bake-ai.com/fonts! If you find it fun or useful, I’d be super grateful if you could leave a like or +1 comment to help this request gain some visibility.Thank you so much for building such a wonderful product. I us
It seems that comments cannot be dragged between pages in Figma. This makes it challenging to move feedback when restructuring files. It would be great to have the ability to relocate comments across pages.
