Disable Upgrade Requests

Is it possible to disable the requests for seat upgrades in their entirety?

We have processes that ensure users submit requests for upgraded seats/licenses via our Service Desk. Figma upgrades are getting missed because users can do it natively in the app. Can this be disabled?

Thanks

We would also like to confirm if this is possible. If not, can this feature be requested? We use our company’s internal access management system to manage Figma/FigJam upgrade and downgrade requests. Can we please have the ability to swtich of users’ ability to request upgardes via the Figma UI?

Hi both - there isn’t a way to disable upgrade requests from within Figma. We recommend sending out communication internally within your company/teams/departments with instructions on how to request access to Figma with your internal process.

I will note that you’d both like to have this as an available feature, and switch the category of this topic to “share feedback” 😀

We’re using SSO and also need to disable the internal upgrade requests, so people go via our service desk.

Is this possible yet?

This continues to be a pain point for those of us who have to manage upgrades through SSO.

@ksn Meanwhile in reality--”Hey look! Another organization-wide slack message or email I will never read or consider. Ohhhh what’s that? A shiny, embedded and impossible-to-hide request upgrade button.” ...Click.

Our Figma account rep was able to enable a feature called “CURF” (not sure what it stands for) that disables the request process in the app, and instead shows a message to any users trying to upgrade:

Can we allow to whitelist the domain names that can request a seat? We share file publically, we have random people asking for seats.

Maybe - ask your account rep
