It’s just very bright, and I’d like to get some work done at night without killing my eyes.

Please add dark mode.

FigJam especially, but it’d be nice throughout.

Yeah, just remember the user likes a dark mode, and make dark mode the default for everything: your website, this forum, Figma, …

+1 on this. It is quite bright at night especially.

Why dark mode isn’t coming to FigJam after 3 years and this many votes. it’s a real issue Figma team?

I came here to do like hundreds of other people already done: ask kindly for dark mode.

After 16 years of being a web developer I started my own indie game dev journey. I’ve worked a bunch with Figma already so when I look to set up a mood board for my game it only made sense to give FigJam a shot.

The lack of dark mode makes me want to look for a more mature alternative.

+1 please Figma 🙏🛐

FigJam Lacks Dark Mode and this is a serious accessibility issue!

I’m a new user; technically, I signed up a while ago, but today was the first time I really dove into Figma and FigJam. I was absolutely loving the experience… until I hit a major roadblock.

No dark mode in FigJam?

Have you lost your minds?!?!?!?

I genuinely can’t wrap my head around this continued decision on behalf of the Figma organization. For some users, light mode isn’t just uncomfortable, it’s physically intolerable due to medical conditions. This goes beyond typical eye strain; for some users, exposure to light mode can cause severe issues and be an absolutely unnecessary artificial barrier for accessibility.

Why hasn’t this been addressed? This thread has been open for three years which is plenty of time to implement a solution!  WAY MORE than enough time.  Which means this is a decision instead of a temporary oversight.

Accessibility isn’t an optional feature; it’s a necessity. Ignoring this isn’t just an inconvenience.  It is a potential legal and PR liability that could potentially affect the Figma reputation.

As much as I was ready to make FigJam part of my workflow, I may have to step away entirely because of this. It’s frustrating to go from “This is amazing; how did I ever work without it?” to “I literally can’t use this.”

This isn’t about personal preference. It’s about accessibility and inclusion. Please, Figma team—prioritize this.

I’m taking the time to write this sincere communication to you because I care and want you to succeed!

dark mode is a must! Please add, or at least add option to change background colour.

Everytime I open figjam, my retina is burning

As someone who frequently switches between working files in Figma and strategy work in Figjam - this is incredibly jarring.

Please, please, please, support a dark mode.

Please make the dark mode happen in Figjam.. I literally beg you… please.. my eyes cannot stand it

Please tell me where is the Dark Mode in FigJam? My eyes are burning.. The FigJam UI is too bright at night

years and years for a darkmode... they do not fkin care about the community request lol

Please dark mode in Figjam 🌚 we just really need this

Please add me to this dark mode request - my eyes are hurting from all the white

Please do.. something!

consistent feedback over 4 years, a trivial front end addition (seeing how figma has dark mode already), yet we get nothing for figjam. this is just lazy

Figma is more well established than its ever been before. It’s not even laziness or a lack of capability, its just careless. They already have a UI colour palette to make that happen.
