Copying Component Doesn't Create New Instance

Michael4

Small piece of feedback after testing out Interactive Components. Ordinarily, I’m able to create a new instance of a component by copying-and-pasting it. This is nice when I’m creating components on-the-fly, as I can then quickly add them into my design.

If I copy-and-paste an Interactive Component, it creates a brand new, identical component, rather than an instance of that component. Would be nice to see this fixed so that it behaves the same as a normal component.

Thanks!
Michael

Have you tried copying one of the variants, not the entire component?
Selecting just one and pasting to a frame (“Paste here”) worked for me 🙂

I have and it has the same effect.

I have it also in my recent version. Is this fixed?

Having the same issue, the only way I have found that works is through the asset menu, search and insert component
