Now that we are migrating our projects to use variables, it would be much better if we could rename multiple variables like we can do with layers.

Clicking and editing one by one if terrrible. So much slow. To do that to just a few variable is ok but when we want to change many of them it’s painful.

Totally agree with you! It’s a pain, as it is with styles. Especially because we can’t use “batch styler” anymore if we have any of the style properties linked to variables. Using batch styler unlinks the style properties from the variables. So I’ll add to your request and ask for the ability to easily rename both variables and styles.

Yeah i know those plugins. Actually i’ve been using the second one sometimes (Rename Variables). But there is a problem inside it. It shows the variables list as they were created, not as they are grouped inside variables window. So when i try to find some groups, i have to scroll everything to try to find some variables that i’ve created at a later time inside their groups. It doesn’t have a search tool. Well the plugin helps, but it’s not the best solution yet.

+1 for this ! the “batch rename” popup that can be used with layers should be universal

+1 for this 👍
