add search bar in open overlay dropdown in prototype panel

It would be useful to have the ability to search full or partial names of frames in “open overlay” and “swap overlay” action overlay selection. Just like the library search function in color selection for example.

Currently when you open the overlay selection you are welcomed with long list of all available frames. It’s only searchable by the first letter of a frame which is something, but also having ability to search by partial name would be infinitely better.

Hi there, Thank you for your thoughtful input!

I can see how this could be a great benefit for others in our community as well. We’re eager to see how the community responds to this idea, so please feel free to cast your vote at the top!

Thanks again,

I’m surprised that there is no higher demand for this feature.

Why I would like to have a searchbar:

  • Sometimes the drawing prototype noodles gets complicated and time-consuming when frames are far apart.
  • The noodle is not visible when the first item in the prototype setting is not a link to another frame. E.g. when “set variable” is the number 1 interaction, there won’t be any noodle.

My work-around today: Rename frame temporary with: AAAA-frame-name. This puts the frame to the top of the list.
