Hello All,I’m having an issue with Figma Make declaring environment variables as false and reverting to fallback after validating my Supabase URL and anon key.Using fallback Supabase URL. Set NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL environment variable. Using fallback anonymous key. Set NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY environment variable.Make has gone in circles multiple times at this point with no resolution. Confirmed that the URL and Key entered are correct. The debug modal shows that Supabase is connected and the environment variable is set. Make also created a validation pop-up to re-enter both which I did and validation was confirmed. I’ve also had Make completely remove and reintegrate the Supabase connection to start off clean. Same issue. Some context: this is happening at the end of the onboarding processing for my site when the user is prompted to add their email and password to create an account.Anyone have any insight into what may be causing the issue? Happy to provide more details if req
I love that there are finally annotations built into the product but they always seem to overlap relevant content. I want to be able to move them around or at least have alternative positioning options.
there isn’t enough of a difference between design and draw mode, and i was so confused when i couldn’t find the auto-layout options. the bottom bar pretty much contains the same things and draw should be included within design modes and the sidebar should contain all information
Please consider adding an image trace feature that would trace the lines of an image and converts them to vector lines for editing
I was thinking of a button like clip content with frames but for shapes! to help with designing icons and vectors, if there was a clip content option anything outside of the shape would not be visible. I think this would be helpful but not sure how useful it would be for others. Also I cannot seem to figure out the slice tool? maybe it is different than adobe but I cannot get it to work (trim excess from two intersecting shapes/vector paths).Really I have no idea what I am talking about but if someone knows how to make better use of the existing features to help me understand how they work with shapes please let me know.
I have one advice please add a feature to move token name from one collection to other collection. I had to recreate token names as I made them on wrong collection. There has to be a way to move them.
Hey everyone!I’m looking to embed a Figma file using Embed Kit 2.0, and hoping to allow users to navigate directly to the main content via the "Skip to Content" link thats available in the regular prototype link after hitting [Tab]. Has anyone been successful in triggering this within the Embed Kit 2.0 iframe? If it’s not supported out-of-the-box, has anyone been successful with a workaround? Cheers,Blake
Hi Figma Team,I really appreciate the Actions menu and how powerful it is for speeding up workflows. It’s become an essential part of my design process. That said, I feel like the current design of the Actions menu misses the mark in a few key ways: Placement: Right now, it’s anchored at the bottom center of the screen. This feels unintuitive and out of the way, especially for a feature that’s meant to be quickly accessible. Most spotlight-style search interfaces (like Raycast or even VS Code’s command palette) are placed center screen, or slightly above center, which aligns more naturally with where a user’s focus tends to be. Raycast even allows repositioning, but still suggests a more central default – and it works well. Size & Usability: The current UI for the Actions menu feels too small – both in font size and overall scale. It doesn't feel as easy or comfortable to interact with as it could be, particularly for users on larger screens or those who rely on accessibility feat
Hi. 3D Transforms are a standard CSS feature that’s missing, and I keep feeling like my hands are tied behind my back without it. There are skew plugins, but I cannot find a 3d transform plugin to simply rotate around x, y, and z. Adobe XD recently added this. Hoping it’s coming soon for Figma. https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/xd/help/design-in-perspective-using-3D-transforms.html
Hey Team,As I’ve been updating a few of my webapps in Figma Make, I’ve run into a recurring problem: the tool generates unnecessarily lengthy and verbose code. For example, one of my recent apps ended up with nearly 3,000 lines of code for a very simple app. When I reviewed this through Claude Code in Cursor, it flagged that the same app could have been built in a much shorter and cleaner way.Because of this bloat, every time I try to add a feature or fix a bug, Figma Make ends up rewriting 1,600+ lines at once. This not only makes the code much harder to maintain, but often leads to build errors when the generation cuts off midway due to context limits.I don’t mind the “complete rewrite” approach in theory, but when the code is always this large and the system struggles to maintain context, it becomes nearly impossible to build stable apps over time. Code maintainability is one of the most basic requirements for any development tool, and right now this feels like a significant blocker.
When creating prototype connections in Figma, it is sometimes difficult and time-consuming to find the right screen manually. Currently, I need to scroll and select the frame every time.It would be very user-friendly if a search bar is available at the top of the prototype connection panel. This will allow users to quickly search and select their desired frame or screen, making the prototyping process faster and more efficient. Why this feature is helpful: Saves time during prototyping Improves workflow efficiency Makes the experience more user-friendly, especially for large projects with many frames
As many users have reported and requested, please kindly add support for custom fonts in Figma Sites. I often use Google and Adobe Fonts with common fonts, but cannot see the correct results. This is an essential feature. Please kindly update this soon. 🙏🏼🌊
When you copy and paste a object if there is no available room to the right then the new object should be pasted underneath instead of being pasted in the next available free space to the right where there aren’t any objects
I spent hours choosing fonts in my Figma Design file, only to move to Figma Sites where I can’t use my custom fonts. It’s so confusing because the custom fonts work great in Design and even look good in Sites when you are building (why is it supported in the design part of Sites at all if it isn’t an available feature? That’s misleading). It’s only when I started previewing my work in Sites that I started to catch on that there was an issue. Frustrated and considering moving to a different program because of this.Anyone else running into this issue?
First off—thank you for continuing to push Figma forward. It’s an incredible tool, but there are a couple of areas that feel unnecessarily clunky in day-to-day work.1. Variables workflow The current variable tables look and feel like a spreadsheet, but don’t work like one. Copying and pasting CSV-formatted text into variable tables would be a huge efficiency boost. Editing values one at a time is frustrating when you need to create or adjust many variables. Plugins exist for bulk import, but they feel like hacks—this should really be a native capability in the UI. 2. Content import + duplication It would be amazing if we could paste CSV or text data into a selected component (like a text input) and have Figma duplicate and fill instances automatically. This is common in coding workflows, yet in Figma it remains slow and manual. Right now, the “First Draft” AI feature scratches the surface, but it feels limited. A more general-purpose AI chat for duplicating components and fil
It might be a good idea to either reposition the "Move to Trash" option or add a divider between "Move File" and "Move to Trash." Since these two actions are placed close to each other, separating them would help prevent accidental deletion of files.
I want to create an e-commerce app
The UI tools are awful. They are hidden and move around. Please just keep them all open and static. And please allow for exempting certain elements from auto layout on the whole desktop. - I often want to simply use a background screenshot as a template, but it is treated along with the active elements. There should be a simple way to preemptively (and retroactively) exclude item(s) so they don’t move around! My gosh! There isn't for my setting. - And why on earth can't the sites support many common fonts? Just have us sign a waiver. - The amount of bugs is insane, we can't export html for our own use (yes, we know it's limited; that's not the point), there aren't direct integrations for email systems or Shopify (sure we can pay even more monthly fees for inferior and cumbersome apps, but why? Why not just do it?), the tools offer basic features, but are too simplistic for advanced concepts, there is a terrible learning curve, the loading can be laggy, each step takes like 50 steps. Ah
ui3 feels like illustrator for babies. the interface is so horrifyingly oversimplified and dumbed down that it makes microsoft paint look like feature-rich professional software. everything has been inexplicably moved around. essential features are buried so deep within cryptic menus that finding a tool feels like trying to find the minotaur at the end of a labyrinth.whose idea was it to move 90% of figma’s most useful features into this barely visible menu-thing?image depicting nonsensical ui3 design changeswhy was the toolbar suddenly moved to the bottom when it was stickied right at the top for at LEAST most of figma’s existenceawful toolbarthese design changes feel like they were made by someone who never used figma, or any design software at all, ever, beyond apple notes for ipad.
I was taking the Figma design for beginners course and I left off yesterday in hopes that my progress will be saved so that I can pick up where I left off this morning but not only was I logged out my account, even upon logging in, I had to manually start the session from where I left it yesterday. It was quite a friction, also to know that you are making progress and being able to track that increases satisfaction on a beginners end specially when one is trying to commit towards and learn a new tool, it’s like an invisible crowd cheering on.EDIT: *PROGRESS TRACKING FOR FIGMA COURSES
Hello. I highly appreciate the new feature allowing us to use the text-decoration simply with the keyboard shortcuts. However, I’ve noticed that when applying text-decoration using shortcuts like cmd+b or cmd+u within components, the styling does not save properly. For example, if I bold the label in a button using cmd+b and later try use it and change the label text property, the bold formatting is removed. The same issue occurs with underline on hover effects - e.g. when I underline text for hover states using cmd+u, the underline is lost. While it was a relief that I don’t longer have to create all possible text-decoration variations as the separate text styles in my design system (like: “Body/Bold, Body/Bold Underline” etc.), now I feel like I should go back to this more time-consuming approach. Please consider this feedback or let me know if there’s a flaw in my workflow.
I would like to be able to reorder properties of a component, incl. nested components. To give an example: A boolean shows/hides an instance of a component and I want the properties of that nested component underneath the boolean. Example: Properties (these control the visibility of optional elements in a form component [in this case a Select component]) Required Help text Validation message Nested Instances (These control e.g. the labelling of the optional elements through text properties) FormControl/Label SelectButton FormControl/HelpText FormControl/Validation message
Our team is still looking for a good design tool to use for our online presentations (we use Microsoft Teams). Now we love Figma Slides to present, but we often have to present videos and animations. Presenting these with Microsoft Teams’ screensharing isn’t very good, as you get a lot of latency issues and audio clipping. It would be really great if Figma Slides could get a similar integration with Microsoft Teams like Powerpoint has. With PowerPoint you can share a presentation directly from the Teams meeting, which then creates an online presentation which runs smoothly for all the viewers.Hope the team at Figma can find a way to achieve this, it would greatly help the motion design presentation workflow for many agencies!Kind regards!Niels
Better organization of content in submenus in the design area. Sometimes I use the slot method to compensate for missing options and possibilities in Figma. Here is an example: “Edit instance swap property”. I have about 20 favorite objects. But they are not organized in the window. Neither thematically nor alphabetically. So I have to do this manually. An autoscroll function is missing here. This means selecting several objects, moving them up or down and using auto-scroll to move them to the desired position. The “preferred values” are also not passed on. So if I have prepared a slot with preferred values and copy it, for example, 8 times (for 8 slots), these preferred values are not included. “Refresh” in the context menu of a warehouse (slot). Right-click to open the context menu and select “Swap instance”. All “preferred values” are not in the previously manually created order. That means all the work again, for each slot 🙈 Thanks
Hey!I would be interested to open my designs, generated by Figma Make into Figma.Do you have this feature in your backlog?Thank you!Nathalie
