Unable to delete layers, when they are inside any frame

I just tested this behavior using a macOS device on the Figma desktop app and a Chrome browser, and layers seems to be deleting as expected on my end. Are you still having issues?

If so, is this happening in the browser or the desktop app? What OS are you using? And are you able to share a screen recording or link to your file? (If you can share a link, please also share edit access with support-share@figma.com, so we can take a closer look.)

The bug exists for me as well. Just switch to another browser (AKA Edge or something else ). It works

Also experiencing this in Chrome on Windows. Sometimes I can delete if I detach first but this is wasting time. Started experiencing this since around 11th August.

Having same issue when trying to copy, paste or delete layers using keyboards shortcuts or keyboard DEL button. Using chrome on windows.
The issue is intermittent. Almost seems to be a lag. I initially thought my keyboard battery was running flat but I put new batteries in and the issue persists.

With a little more context to help the team reproduce the bug, we’ll be able to more effectively work on a fix.

From what others have reported, this is a browser only issue (no issues using the app). It’s simply the delete key or ctrl+d that is not working, but as a workaround, actions will restore as expected after right-clicking then left-clicking to close menu.
