Question

Swap Library error

Mahendra974

Hi, I duplicated 2 files, a library and a design file. The new design file is obviously still attached to the previous library. I want to attach it to the new library. Everything is still exactly the same. I open the library panel in the new design file, add the new library to the file and detach the old one, then I click on “swap library” in order to replace components and styles in the file, but I get this error ID: ba6fb6fe90044b46a5917a85bf89e636. Did this happen to anyone else? If yes anyone found a solution? How am I supposed to swap my libraries if this doesn’t work, I tried more than 20 times over the week end.

Hi All, thanks for reaching out!

Mahedra is working with support on this issue, as it is normally solved on a case by case basis.

As a first step, please check if adding the original library back to your design file and then trying the swap works?
Please also note that both libraries need to be published. The full steps to do a library swap are detailed in this article: Swap components and instances

If that doesn’t help, please submit a bug report here with the following:

  • The URL of the design file
  • The URL of the library that is still connected
  • The URL of the library you want to swap to
