I’ve recently been trying to use the mobile app (iOS) to look at designs and prototypes as I’m creating them on my laptop—and I’m finding that the app is having serious trouble keeping up to date with edits I’m making.
Some changes show up immediately but others don’t at all. They might be a color, size, or just about any change. Some specific things like constraints while viewing a prototype in Responsive mode seem to flip flop between a new and previous state. So after a few changes I have this franken-view of my design in the app that gets worse as I go.
The most reliable way to get everything on the app to be current is making the app re-open the file. I’ve done this either by backing completely out of the file and re-opening it or switching between View File and View Prototype and back again. Both take a lot of time for something I shouldn’t even have to be thinking about.
If nothing else, a Manual Refresh command would be very much appreciated. Really though it would be better if the app would just get all the same edit updates that the Web version does.
If this is a webview issue (in iOS, web views can only be Safari) then Apple should be informed that this is presenting a serious lack of reliability in a recommended app design workflow.
