Hello Figma Users,

I am Lead designer and while designing the product in figma I found glitch that there is no proper syncing between the library file and design file.

Detailed description : I have created one main component in the library file and I published the library without any error and now there is no more any changes in library file and publish button get disable because everything in the library file has been published.

Now when I am in the design file, I couldn’t see any pending updates in the design file because I already updated the library file into the design file so there is no more pending updates however all the changes which I made in the component doesn’t reflects in the design file instance of that main component. I tried lots of ways to do, I spent lots of time even though I couldn’t find anything. I tried to quit figma and restart, changed the internet connection if there was any network issue, close the working file and reopen etc.

Only last option is that I have to select those instance. manually and then do the reset instance at that time I can see the changes and updated component but this is not sufficient or proper way to update the component because I have used that component 350 times in my design.

I am expecting some of the better solution from the #Figma @figma_admin. I suffered this problem many times and I forced to myself to select the manually and reset the instance.

For more detailed understanding here I uploaded the video as well : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1DZYzYdfD79qU1GlJQ0i4eh8wVfzBhchd?usp=sharing

Thanks

Hi @arjunmakwana, thanks for flagging this!

Can you please try using the regenerate all instances command to see if that helps and saves some time?

  1. Navigate to “Actions” via  the search bar in the top left file menu or from the ✨ icon in the tool bar
  2. Search for “Regenerate All Instances”
  3. Run this command
  4. Refresh the file
