I’m having the same issue, this happened a month ago and it was fixed but it seems to have cropped up again. For now I’ve reverted my version to 124.6.5 until this gets fixed again.
Windows users can download this version using this link, or you can replace the numbers with another version if you so choose:

I reinstalled the software a few times, restarted it again and again and eventually the tab area is showing.
I assume I will see this issue again soon, and again I will need to spend time and effort in doing the same procedure :(
