Question

Component Broken - Click to Fix

Claire Hart

Experiencing issues in Figma with local components, in particular where they were looked correct for a long time and now nearly every day when you open the file they appear broken across all the screens but when but you click into the component it fixes itself?

Tried reloading the file / tab and doing the click into the component fix but next day it’s broken again.

Any reason why it keeps happening when it was fine before?

Run Regenerate All Instances command, it should fix the problem

Lauriane_Ordon

I have the exact same issue, and regenerating all instances will not work well for me, as I have a lot of screens and all of my components datas wil be cleared...

I’m unable to run that command on the component for some reason but also I don’t want to risk it when like Lauriane there’s a lot of screens and data that could be impacted

This command fix broken instances, it doesn’t reset them to main component state. It works the same way as clicking on it, but you don't have to click on each one.

Hi All
Just wanted to share an update that running “Repair Component Connections” worked for me if anyone wants to give that a go?
