Hello Figma Support team,I've identified a reliably reproducible bug in my design system library: every time I double-click a variant in the left panel to edit it a second time, the variant name breaks.The Prop=Value, Prop=Value name format (e.g. Type=Regular, State=Default) gets overwritten and replaced with just the values, without the property names (e.g. Regular, Default). The right-hand panel then shows "This layer has an invalid name" and the property dropdowns switch to "—".I tested this on 2 component sets to confirm reproducibility before risking further damage across the rest of the library — the bug happens consistently, so I consider my entire library at risk if I continue editing variants normally.Steps to reproduce:Open an existing component set with variants already correctly named (Prop=Value, Prop=Value) Double-click a variant's name in the layers panel to edit it a second time The name gets overwritten automaticallyWhat I need:Confirmation/fix for this bug before I co

Hey everyone,I've been dealing with a frustrating bug lately and wanted to post here to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing — and to get it on Figma's radar if it hasn't been reported yet.---**The Bug**Components from my shared library that are set to **Fill container** (horizontal) are not rendering correctly when a file is opened. They appear collapsed or incorrectly sized — but the Fill property is still correctly set. The moment I click anywhere on the affected frame, it instantly snaps into its correct filled state. No property changes, no workarounds — just a click.I've attached a short screen recording that shows this clearly: a **Save and Cancel button pair** is initially invisible inside their container, and after I click the frame they snap into the correct position immediately.---**Why It's a Big Deal for My Workflow**This is causing real problems for our design-to-dev handoff. I am paying for full-seat professional account but I am unable to press publish button for figma site, can you help me? is there any setting up I can fix?  

I’m fairly new to Figma and like it a lot - I was using the free features quite happily and was able to share files in Draft and Team account with other users. I upgraded to Pro so I could use the Figma plugin for ChatGPT - as it had a 6 MCP allowance per day, which is not enough to be productive.  Now I can’t share any file with anyone unless they have a full pro licence, they have to request edit access, and it means I have to approve and foot the bill. So by upgrading I’ve lost functionality I had when it was free, WTF?Have I missed something? I want to cancel it so I can go back to using the platform with the free functions!

Hi Figma team and community,I am trying to use Figma MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration in VS Code, but I’m running into a persistent authentication token creation issue that prevents the connection from working. Problem DescriptionWhen I configure mcp.json like this:"figma": {"type": "http","url": "https://mcp.figma.com/mcp"},and start the server in VS Code, a browser opens to https://www.figma.com/oauth/mcp/... where I click “Agree and Allow Access”. It seems that fails then a window in VS Code shows “You have not yet finished authenticating to 'Figma MCP'. Would you like to try a different way? (URL Handler)”, which I click “yes” and it takes me through the same Figma OAuth Access flow in the browser, and re-opens VS Code. After doing this, the Figma MCP server fails to start and I see the following MCP Output Error messages:[warning] Error getting token from server metadata: Error: Failed to create authentication token[info] Connection state: Error 401 status sending message

Hi all! I’m working with slots for a guide view of upcoming programs for a radio station. My current set up is like this: A radio program component, containing of a thumbnail, a title, an icon and a meta slot. In this meta slot we can change radio DJ, time stamp, add dividers or broadcasters. This component is added as an instance in a slot container.  We’ve made the container a slot, because for some radio stations it’s nice to have up to 6 upcoming shows, but some have less or more. The problem is: whenever I add the slot tot the container, it resets my program instance to the old component without the meta slot, which isn’t in use anymore and has been deleted. It keeps saying it’s connected to my component library, when I click ‘view main’ it does contain the meta slot. But the instance is always without it. When I remove the slot container, the meta slot returns. I find this behavior pretty strange and I don’t get why I can’t have both?  ^ main component using a ‘list slot’ in whic

Since Friday 16th of July the way I copy paste interactions is not working anymore. I normally would left-click on my noodle and press Ctrl+C and paste it into another object with Ctrl+V. The behavior is erratic, but mostly the whole object gets pasted onto the Frame instead of the interaction. I have already cleared Desktop Cache tried it in new files tried with other accounts tried on another PCIt’s really annoying for complex prototypes with lots of if/else interactions.

When importing SVGs stop converting <circle> tags into <path> tags.Please stop. It breaks my workflows.Please please overhaul your SVG engine. It is so buggy and broken.

I’m having intermittent issues of my layers that have motion applied to them turning into white boxes. sometimes they render when I play motion, sometimes when I play in prototype mode. What I can’t fix is when I create a motion animation on one page, and move it toanother, it never renders anything on the other page but the white boxes. i’ve tried clearing the cache by turning motion on/off and even closing the app.  

I’m building a prototype using existing components which have hover states, focus states and key pad navigation. I can set the component up and it works perfectly with keyboard navigation, however as soon as it’s in the prototype the keyboard commands stops working.I’m having the same problem with the slots  independently they work but as soon as I put them in the slot they stop working. Does anyone know why it’s doing this?

Hi, when I create a “candlestick” component, I am not able to edit the candle's "wicks" or candle’s “body” of the instances, which is an issue for me.Because I need each candlestick to be different in terms of body size and wick size.I would love to hear your feedbacks. I've attached a video to this post that illustrates the problem I'm having.Best regards.

Hello,I thought Slots was the feature we had all been waiting for. Unfortunately, I just found out it's not. As soon as I started using it, it created major issues in my design system and essentially broke all of my responsive components that rely on variants to switch between desktop and mobile layouts. The problem is that it's now too late for me because I've already migrated everything to Slots.For example, I have a Bento component with two variants: Desktop and Mobile. Both variants share the same Slot property. Naturally, the layout inside the Bento needs to be different for each device to be truly responsive, while the content and overall structure remain exactly the same.However, if I edit a single layer inside the Slot in the Desktop variant and then switch to the Mobile variant, it overrides the mobile layout and breaks everything, even though the structure is 100% identical.I'm experiencing this issue with every component that uses Slots.At first, I thought I might need two s

After a couple of versions, the option to “restore this version” is not even showing while clicking the donut menu in Figma make. the only change made on the file is moving it inside a project. a local copy downloaded and re-imported but same issue. 

 i have been trying to make something from figma make but it is not able to load and giving me this error. i tried in desktop or web browser i get the same error. How to fix it? i have full credit 

Every time I try to use the AI feature ‘Expand an image’ the platforms responds with “Can’t expand transparent background”. It does not matter if the image is added as a Frame fill or is standalone in the page. If it is in ‘Fit’, ‘Fill’ or ‘Crop’ mode. It is just not working.There was a similar problem about a month ago and it was resolved but now I experience the same error. I need an explanation and a timeline on when this can be resolved. Hello,I am the owner and only member of my Starter team workspace.On August 2, I used Figma Make for one AI generation. After it completed, my AI Balance showed 332 credits remaining.I did not perform any further AI generations after that.On August 4, my account shows 0 AI credits remaining until Sep 1.Could you please check my AI credit usage history and explain how my remaining credits were consumed? If this is expected behavior, could you please explain why my balance changed from 332 to 0 without any additional AI actions?Thank you.

I would like to use the private NPM registry feature but before I do I have two quick questions:Is the auth token provided in Resources → npm registry → “View Configuration” generated per-user, as in is it specific to me or is it the same for all admins? Can I cycle or regenerate that token if necessary? If so, how?Thank you! 

When using Alt + Drag in the layers panel to create a duplicate object, the ‘alt state’ remains after alt release and mouse release. So, when one then hovers the cursor over anything in the design panel, such as width, opacity, padding, etc. the cursor becomes a horizontal double arrow and clicking in any of the input fields in the design panel to enter a value is fruitless. One needs to hit Alt again to reset/clear the ‘frozen’ alt state. This started I would say a few weeks ago. It’s a bit similar to what I and some others were reporting just recently regarding clicking on the visibility icons in the layers panel, or even the lock icon, and on mouse release the app would still behave as if it were in the mousedown state and any layers that the cursor hovered over would immediately get lock toggled or visibility toggled. This is somewhat similar, a sticky alt state remains after alt + drag and release on keyboard and mouse. Thank you for your time.
