I’m building a demo of some on-hover nav menus and tooltips. I’m able to setup a few, but after 3 or 4, “while hovering” becomes disabled for new interactions. I’m at a loss to explain this.

I was able to get around this by removing all interactions and starting from scratch. But this wasn’t the first time I’ve seen this.

Hey Zach, happy to hear you were able to fix it by removing interactions and starting from scratch!

If you run into the issue again in the future, please reach out to the support team directly via this form for help: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Be sure to use your Figma account email, include a link to the file, and share it with support-share@figma.com, so we can take a closer look into what’s happening to cause the issue.

Hi Zach, the same thing with mine. However, it does it with my “on click” & my “while hovering”. I’m new to Figma so I thought it must be like a perk to be able to choose those two prototypes more than once if you get Figma premium 🙈 So it’s not normal? Also, when you said you started from scratch did you mean just delete all interactions and redo them?

This is what it does.

Hi there! The reason it’s disabled - the action was used before and was removed by hand, but it remained in the interactions. Just remove it from there and start over.

Yeah, thanks. I finally figured this out. If hover is empty you should still be able to set it up from the add interaction menu.

This is happening for me. XD was so much easier!
