Question

Stroke to scale with the object

Jairo

HI! just noticed that when i upscale an object with a stroke applied to it. the stroke maintains its width.

Is there a way for the stroke to scale with the object? (Just like in Illustrator)

Using Scale tool not an option, as it indeed scales up the width of the object, but when dealing idth icons, as soon as you swap an instance, the new instance reverts back to original width.

Thanks in advance

Hey @Jairo, had the same issue with the icons. Unfortunately Figma doesnโ€™t have the same functionality of scaling strokes similar to the illustrator.

But found a workaround by outlining the stroke of the initial icon. In these way, even if the instances are very small, the icon stroke will stay the same.

I hope this helps.

Hi @Jairo, for fixing this issue you can convert stroked lines to stroke outline like in this tutorial

Figma Learn - Help Center

It converts line to shape and you can scale you SVG properly ๐Ÿ˜‰
