I am having trouble with my hi-fid prototype. The flow begins with a couple of frames for the splash page. When I view it in presentation mode it works fine. However, when I link it on my Behance project, it skips the entire splash presentation. Help!

Hey Immanuel, would you be able to share a screen recording with me? I am not sure if this is happening because of the platform Behance.

Hi

How shall I send the recording to you?

Hey there, I’ve send you a DM, so feel free to share this via DM or here under this post.

I am also have the exact problem but I have my link on my website and it also skips the flash page.

Hey @lisette_kelmanson, thank you for reaching out!

Could you please confirm if you have to make any interaction on your page?

Can you try viewing it on different browsers?

This might be happening because you can only view file embeds. There is no way to select individual layers or make any edits to the file. More information you can find here: Interact with embeds.

Also, let me ask internally to double-check with the the team as well. I’ll get back to you once I’ll receive a response.

Hey @Immanuel_Jaeggi, can you confirm if you’ve embedded a link directly to a specific frame or if you’ve linked it to the overall file?

Also, please confirm that you’re embedding URLs that look like https://www.figma.com/file/LKQ4FJ4bTnCSjedbRpk931/Sample-File and not like https://www.figma.com/file/LKQ4FJ4bTnCSjedbRpk931/Sample-File?node-id=1-497?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Gayani,

Here is the link to my Figma file where it does not load the splash frames on my portfolio site. Thanks in advance

Figma – 26 Sep 23

Hi @lisette_kelmanson! Looking at the link you shared:

https://www.figma.com/proto/yIiZRH4E26IByiqWxxWs42/G%2BT-(Give-%2B-Take)?type=design&node-id=1015-4959&t=GUgH6EiSjS30LNKo-1&scaling=scale-down&page-id=645%3A1554&starting-point-node-id=1096%3A7691&mode=design

The presence of all the stuff after the ? is telling Figma where you’d like the prototype to start. It’s likely that you had a particular frame selected when you copied the URL, which caused Figma to add that node to the URL (under the assumption that you wanted the prototype to start on your selection).

You can remedy this by removing everything after the ? when you put the URL into Behance: https://www.figma.com/proto/yIiZRH4E26IByiqWxxWs42/G%2BT-(Give-%2B-Take)

Thanks Figajm,

Taking out the “?” from the link worked and my splash page starts at the link. Thanks a bunch.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. It seems like the splash page isn’t showing up as expected when linked. This might be related to certain configuration settings or an issue with the implementation of the splash screen. For more details on why splash screens might not be working or best practices for integrating them into your app, you can refer to this article: https://www.cleveroad.com/blog/mobile-app-splash-screen-reasons-to-integrate-launch-screen-into-your-app/.
