Resize Image within shape and fill shape with color

this might be stupid Newby question:

I have a shape (ellipse) and filled it with an image. Now; how can I change the size of the image inside the shape? And how can I fill the background of the shape with a color BEHIND the image?

Hey Susanne,

Changing size of your image inside a shape

  1. Click on fill layer and open up selector (where you can change your image)
  2. Change fill to Crop.
  3. Click on image and adjust the size see screen shot

Add color and put in background

  1. Hit the plus to add color (this will place the layer in front of your image)
  2. Select the layer and drag below the image layer
