My design file seems to have disappeared, i can’t find it anywhere. I found the Prototype in my ‘recents’ but I don’t see the Design file for it anywhere. What am i missing?

Open prototype and click open in editor.
You can also try to search the file by its name.
Update: Ok, so I can open the Prototype in Editor. But I can’t seem to find the design file to save or move it into a project folder. It’s very confusing to me. How do I save it to a project?
