We have recently moved our Business Plan from Professional to Organization.

Now, we would like to move some files that are stored in local Free Teams into this Organization.

While being an owner and admin of the teams respectively, when pressing “move file” on the file in the free plan, I do not get the option to move the file to any Team inside the Organization, but only to other Free Teams.

I have stumbled upon this thread Moving projects from one organization to another which sounded like only Figma themselves can do this type of “migration”.

So in the end, I am asking:

Is it possible at all for me to move a file from a free team into an organization - without manual export/import?

If not, I would request the following features:

• Please extend the documentation in this regard


• Please include this information as a prompt BEFORE one changes their plan from Professional to Organization, stating that one should move all local files into the team (if it is the Organization Plan that restricts us from moving anything inside).
