Running the Styles and Variables Organizer it shows there are multiple text styles in a component. These styles are not from our library as our design team wanted to use a community notes component. We took it in and stripped out any styles or color variables and assigned styles or applied no styles from our library. But on inspection using the Styles organizer plugin it says lists the styles (missing) from the original file. Any idea why and how to remove them as clicking on any element in the component does not show any link to these styles?

I may be alone with this, but I just need to share it. New Figma UI3 is beautiful, but claustrophobic in small screens. The new panels are cute, but my main focus when designing is the design itself. It feels like they are in the middle of the screen. It’s good that you can minimize the panels with a click, but you should also be able to stick them to the sides, making the space they occupy much smaller. That would mean more space to work with the same panel sizes. Just a tiny addition!! 🙏🏽

Hi guys, Thanks as always to this fantastic community, had some invaluable advice before and it’s really appreciated!! I’ve made a carousel, with pagination dots at the bottom and the biggest number of cards I need in it is 12. However sometimes I will need less, and so I’m wondering if I can use boolean properties to choose the number of slides in the component instance? It would also be great to be able to choose/link the pagination dots so that the corresponding value of slides needed, also removes excess pagination dots. I’m just in the process of building out the gallery in my website prototype using my first instance use of the component, and I’m trying to have to avoid making the same component 12 times: with 1 slide with 2 slides with 3 slides etc Any suggestions would be great here, as I’m having a block as to how best to approach it 🙂 Thank you

I’ve made a bunch of slide layout changes and I’d like to save them as a template. Since I started with the default template, is there anyway to do this?

How to disable a paid subscription and get a refund? I turned it off. The first time I was charged $15, then $20, and now it’s $35 even though I turned off the subscription. I have shared a small project that is acting very buggy. I have a situation where I am triggering multiple (2) overlays, executing multiple overlay swaps and then at the end I am attempting to close the 2nd overlay and navigate to a new page. I’ve been using Figma’s REST API to grab the text content from specific nodes in my designs with the following endpoint: https://api.figma.com/v1/files/${fileKey}/nodes?ids=${nodeId} I would then be able to extract the actual text content from the characters key: response.data.nodes[nodeId].document.characters In dev mode, I could easily get the node-id from the URL while clicking around my design. However, I’ve noticed that for component instances, the children nodes have the same node-id as the parent, thus making it difficult to extract the exact text that I need. I’ve tried using the “Node Inspector” plugin to see the internal id but it gives me ids like "I5912:74596;5912:74456" which don’t work with the API endpoint. Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

How can I increase the time for Smart Animate in Figma beyond 10,000ms? The animations are still too fast even at this duration.

Hello Figma Community, I am new to the FIGMA and am currently stuck with an issue related to the FIGMA prototype. I either want to know how to pass the actual height of the node/frame in the FIGMA prototype through some events or how to get to know the exact height of the node/frame from the various events received from the FIGMA prototype events such as PRESENT_NODE_CHANGED etc. I don’t want to know the viewport height or width where my prototype is rendered but the actual FRAME/node height

Is it just me or does Figma access suck. How do I delete this file.

Hi Team, I am Darshan Hiranandani, recently tested a new feature in FigJam that initially worked perfectly, allowing me to add new pages. However, when I revisited the file, I found that the “Add Page” button is missing from the menu, and I’m unable to right-click to duplicate the current page. It seems like it might be a bug, but I’m not sure if it’s an issue on my end or something more widespread. Could anyone provide suggestions or advice on how to resolve this issue? Hello good Figmians! As stated in the title, I am unable to delete interactions. Meaning, even when I delete an interaction in “prototype” mode, and the prototype line no longer exists, the actual presented prototype still displays the interaction I had deleted. I have tried: Closing and re-opening the prototype, Closing and restarting Figma, Clicking “inspect” on the element in question to make sure the interaction has been really deleted. When using paste-to-replace on objects that have sub-pixel positions the replacement content’s position does not match the replaced content, but is instead rounded.

The elements disappear the second I click on them I can see them in layers and at first they appeared when I refreshed my browser but right they are not visible. I can still click on them and move them (I checked the color and fill that’s not the issue)

Hello everyone, This question has probably already been answered, but I’m so new to this that I don’t know how to find the right answer: How can I change several colour styles at once? I have created a project for customer A, all colours in the blue scheme are colour styles etc. A view weeks later I have made a project for customer B, but in green. The colour palette and structure is the same in both projects. Now customer B decided they basically want the same design as customer A, but of course with his green colour palette. So I duplicated client A’s project, but I have no idea how to simply change all the colours to the green scheme (and also their names). They should of course stay colour styles that are used all over the project… My way would now have to klick on every color, copy paste the Hex code, change the name etc. But I guess there is a faster way, since all the colors are already there. They simply need to be linked or re-linked. At least thats what I hope 😅 I hop

I wanted to make a button that would change color when you hover over it, but “change to” is not available

I use a component which is from existing component library. By default, the color text is Black. Once I import the components from that library, the black color doesn’t reflected on text.

Why does the “Hide/Show UI” key-command NOW ALSO SHOW COMMENTS? How does this make sense? Where did you come up with this idea? Comments has already had its own SHIFT+C key-command. Why can’t you just leave the UI alone – are you getting paid extra to just to randomly change functions?

why does applying auto layout on multiple text boxes, to get an auto-layout frame, CHANGE the text box dimensions now? WHY? what were you thinking FIGMA? are you kidding me?

you’ve changed the visual feedback presentation when user is trying to select more than one object across several frames. why why why? its no long showing me individual highlights around individual selected objects now. instead you show me a “useless bounding-box”-like highlight rectangle. Hi. I’m on Professional Plan so I assume there is no limit for Team Members. However, I would like to know if there is any limit of collaborators (editors or viewers) – added individually – in a project or a file. And one more question: Is there any limit of users simultaneously viewing particular file? Thanks.
