I need constraints, but I don’t see them. Please help to find them!

I have a project with Prototype screens on one page, and components on another screen. Within the components screen, I’ve a dropdown component with two variants - open & closed. This is then placed within another “table” component with several variants on that page - with the previous component nested at the end of each row. The table component is then being pulled into different screens within the ‘Protytype’ page of the project - with variables determining which table variant appears. What I want and can’t seem to do is determine which screen a user goes to, when they click the dropdown items in each row (which is essentially a nested component on a separate page. How would I accomplish this? I don’t see a way to use variables within the navigate option. Nor do I see a way to pass that click through to the page, from a component on a separate page. I tried to circumvent it by using “open link” with ‘new tab’ unchecked and sending the user to the link of that page on a prototype,

made all the interactions and after that the artboard is empty but works fine in present view. .

I know that Figma has a lot of presets fo a bunch of frames, but if I want to create a design that I can measure in mm, the relaion is not 1:1. Could somebody give me any guide or standard measurement so I can change the sizes myself please?

I was working on a design file, when all the sudden the UI itself scaled itself to be larger than normal. I don’t know what I did, but I want it to go back to normal. I tried a bunch of different things and they all did not work. This is what it looks like: This is what it looks like as the default now, like when I would open a design file. This goes for all the design files I open too. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Hello, I didn’t see anything about this in my search. I’ve been using the comments on Figma for a while now, and suddenly today I can’t respond to someone on my team who commented on files she edited. Is there a reason why it suddenly says “comments editor unvailable” all of a sudden? It won’t let me type a reply to her comment like I was able to do before. It also wont let me create a comment, whereas I was able to do so before. Can someone let me know whats happening, and how to fix it? Thank you

Hello I am new to Figma, I am trying to use arc tool on an elipse. But I cannot catch the arch point inside the elipse to drag the arc point to create curve on my elipse. Because when I mouse over the elipse, the arc point in the elipse shows and the cursor of my mouse turns into arch (little arrow) to show me that it is ready to arc. but when I move my mouse the cursor changes to size tool. As a result I only manage to either increase or reduce the size of the elipse but not arching the elipse. I even downloaded a arc pluging from Figma but I am still having the same issue. Can you please help.

Hi new to ux ui Figma designing so which things should I start focus

I bought a new Poco F6 phone, installed the Figma app and any projects cannot load completely. There is no way to reload the project or do anything to make it appear completely. Help me please! Trying to figure out the best way to code out custom icon libraries after hand off. Anyone have a nice starter for this. I love the footprint of packages like Lucide, and I’ve tried pulling their code apart but they have a lot of moving pieces.

Not sure if it’s the same issue here but since today I’m having the same issue; I’ve had the theme set to “system theme” and started it up today with all white theme but a dark top menu bar (and accordingly dark menus; see screenshot: I’ve tried clearing the cache and also switching between the dark, light and system theme with closing and opening the app in-between to no avail. Also, what I found was that since today I belive the tabs look different for me I believe? This is how they looked before (here in dark mode): So might be connected in this case; some form of update breaking this? 🤔

Greetings! I’d like to report issues with Figma’s performance when working with both components and prototypes. I’ve got multiple files with a descent amount of frames and quite a lot of nested components. I’ve tried splitting everything into multiple files, I’m using variables/properties, but even with those techniques as soon as I update a single line of text in a component everything lags like there’s no tomorrow. From what I can gather, the lagging occurs as Figma is trying to update all component instances. I’ve tried splitting the design system into various files as I mentioned, so that it doesn’t have to update everything at once, but it still struggles a lot and for a second (…or ten. Or more.) the file becomes virtually unworkable. It even shows the cloud icon saying the file has unsaved changes, despite my connection being solid. The thing is… it’s not the delay when it’s updating instances that’s bothering me. It’s the fact that any changes are synched rightaway, which makes

Hello, I am a long time user of Figma and I use the tool at work everyday. I have noticed that when I am working in my desktop browser or in the application it shows me as offline. What normally happens is I will be in a file and working on the desktop application notice that it is displaying as offline and then I will copy the link to file and open it up in my desktop browser to try and work from there. Sometimes it works but I have noticed that both are showing as offline. Plus, I have the fastest internet possible and it is not a internet issue. I am wondering how to resolve this problem? I also recently updated the app?

We are getting ‘An error occurred while opening the editor’ when we are trying to open the Figma with this link : https://www.figma.com/files/… This is coming on few machines in same network, but it’s random also. We cleared caches, temp, proxy is used. What can be done to make it work?

Here’s what I’d like to do: When I’m on a page and select an item, I want to create an interaction that takes me to another page and scrolls to a specific position that I choose. Please note, I’m using the free version of Figma. I’m leaving a small diagram that explains what I’m trying to achieve. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me!

I am working in Figma professional, and I have shared a link of a prototype with some people that are not members of Figma. Some can open the link and view my prototype with great success, few of them can’t, they get the following message: “Sorry, you don’t have access”. And she then can “Request an access”. Why is there a difference? All of them are equal, none of them have Figma accounts, or are a part of team/project.

I want to use slide in animation between variants in a component on hover, but it’s grayed out. It seems only possible between frames outside a component. Is there any way this is possible?
