Hi, Within my prototype, I need to show the ability to drag events around the page, multiple elements. Image a bunch of Polaroid photos on a table and trying to drag them around and place them in the right order. Is there a way of showing this? Keep in mind this is not just one element need to be able to move, it’s many. Thanks in advance.

Design files 1: all the primitives, colour typography etc Design file 2: building buttons and other components. I have the typography size as a variable for desktop/Mobile connected to the text style on design file 1. Desktop: 24 Mobile: 14 When creating a outer frame with a collection of different text and change it from desk to mob on Design 1. all the text change to the smaller size, perfect! My issue is when im moving to design file 2. add in the library from D1, create variable sizes desk and mobile for let say a button, add in the text using the text styles from D1 then apply that layer/button with mobile or desktop. Figma has given me two sets of variables. one for the current file im working in and one from D1. Im probably doing something wrong but what i was hoping was to use D1 to create the primitives. colour, typography etc and then use the other files to design everything else. so in the end i would like a full desktop page i can change at the top frame to desktop/mobile a

The last few days the mirror/preview mode has been crashing for me and a colleague, a hover effect freezes the entire tab and then give " Something went wrong - Reloading Figma may fix this.’ Reason: crashed. This happens in de desktop app as well as in the browser mirror on both pages that have no interactions and pages that have hoverstates for e.g. content cards. Have re-installed the app, used different browsers but noting seems to fix. Any experience with this?

Why does Variant 2 doesn’t accepts interaction in the current Prototype? As an example, a Scroll Bar component in it roots you click the scroll move to right, click back move it to the left So in the Prototype, you use this scroll bar when click - scroll offset some table Then you (changed Scroll Bar to variant 2) but you can’t insert interactions for this variant 2 as an example scroll it back I tried create variables as well but the only interaction that works in the prototype is from Variant 1 - so in a conditional case, it is not Variant 2 anymore, it changed And if you change in the Design to Variant 2 - try to set up interactions - but need to change component back to default to start the prototype, the interactions you set in Variant 2 doesn’t work… I got various example cases that this functionality made a confusing confusing prototype with variants… should just simple allow Variant 2 interact How can I make a feature request for that?

I made a screen on Figma, and try to convert it to Power App. However it prompts that "cannot create app. One or more forms are missing data cards. In Figma, add data cards to your forms, then try converting again. " I followed exactly the tutorial from Microsoft. and ensured that I did use the data cards when I designed app on Figma learn.microsoft.com Anyone has encountered the same issue? Thank you, Paul

Hi there, I need help, I try to create CUSTOM SF Symbol in Figma using SF Variable Template. After importing my custom symbol to SF symbol custom folder, icon looks filled with one solid color. Do you have idea what I’m doing wrong? Or do you know some better tool or workflow? thanks Using SF Symbol template Variable, made 3-Small: Ultralight, Regulas, Black icon, Regular scale up and down to make other, no vertex count changes. Naming and guides are the same as in template.

I searched for the issue I am having and this closed topic seems to be the same problem > Overlays not working with main components? Here’s my setup. 1 - I have a ‘Sidenav’ component, inside the Sidenav component are instances of ‘Menu item’ component (these instances are Home, Users, Settings, etc) 2 - I have a smaller Frame (not a component) which is just a Submenu list, framed. 3 - From the Sidenav COMPONENT, I select the ‘Users’ menu item instance, and set the Interaction to On mouse enter, Open Overlay, connect to the Frame holding the submenu. (interaction is Instant, position is Manual and definitely moved into a visible position right next to the trigger item) 4 - The Sidenav component with all of that setup is then inserted into a Page that is the full design, ie the page/app ui now has an instance of the sidebar. 5 - When I run prototype on the Page, no overlays show when I ‘mouse enter’/hover on the trigger item (Users). ! What am I doing wrong here?? Thanks guys

I am considering upgrading to the Pro Plan which I believe is around £14/mo but I am confused over the pricing. Scenario: I am only a home user but I would like to invite one other person to edit and create designs with me and also be able to share libraries across different projects. Would I incur additional charges by inviting this other person with editing permissions and if so how much?

New navigation in Figma makes me cry, because now the tool panel is on the bottom of the page. I use shortcuts a lot, but also I often use tools just by clicking on them. And it was very convenient when everything was on the left top corner: switching between project tabs, tools, home, layers and assets. And now: some things are on the top, some things are on the bottom – why do I need to think where to click? And also it takes time to jump from the top to the bottom and back. Also in UI3 the left and right toolbars are located at a distance from the edges of the screen. Why do I need this “pretty” spaces if they take space from my primary art board zone? I prefer to see as much as possible screen with my designs – not give this space to “pretty” toolbar. It is totally useless improvement. I will stay with old interface as long as its possible. Hope someone from the product team will see my feedback.

I feel like so much of the UI has been simplified and nested in a way that’s slowing me waaaay down compared to before (looking at the change image from upload in particular and the ability to select a bunch of items and create a section without having to manually draw it). Just something I’ve been feeling when I open the app recently, and wanted to drop in the feedback

hey everyone, I am new to Figma and I was designing an interactive text field that switches between states (enabled ,hovered,focused ,error) I chose to insert this component from Google Material Design and I chose the prototype trigger between focused state and error state to be pressing ‘Enter’ button and when I present the whole form the text field freezes in focused state though I press ‘Enter’ . here is a photo of the variants with prototypes. Hi everyone, I recently upgraded my operating system to macOS 15 and have encountered some issues with Figma: After the upgrade, when I open a Figma design file, the page becomes unresponsive. I’ve tried using Chrome, Safari, and the Figma desktop app, but only Safari can open the file normally. The design files use the “PingFang SC” font. However, after the OS upgrade, it shows a font error and I’m unable to replace the font. This issue did not occur prior to the upgrade. Has anyone else experienced similar problems after upgrading to macOS 15? Any insights or potential solutions would be greatly appreciated. I’m wondering if this is a compatibility issue between Figma and the latest macOS version. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

What is a draft file described as at Figma??? What is a draft? Based on the new updates, what are drafts? Because even files i get from the community are drafts??? I haven’t used them and i don’t want them to belong anywhere as some are even for inspiration. how am i going to decide a team for each of my 3000 drafts??

I recently upgraded to Figma UI3 and don’t see the Wrap in a section option when selecting more than one frame. Where can I find it, if it is enabled in this update? UI2 UI3

When I try to wrap in a section multiple elements selected, that option is not available anymore in the new UI3, to do so, I need to execute the Cmd+K command and write “Wrap in a section” to see it available.

I can’t find a way to add a URL link in the new editor - where did it go? In the legacy experience, the icon to add a link was at the top of the page but I cannot find it in the new editor.
