I have a simple question:

In my Figma file I added several components (different Heading styles).

I have some existing text which is not yet an instance of a component.

How do I added the style from the components I just created to this text?

Hi Tom11,
Thanks for reaching out to the community!
If I understand well, if you want the style of a specific component, I would recommend you just to create the instance of this component directly, but I may miss something, please clarify if I am wrong. 🙂

As a second workaround, if your aim is just to copy a text style, I’d recommend you first create your text styles, then apply your text styles to your components. You can find more information for the dfferents steps here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039957034-Create-and-apply-text-styles#From_an_existing_text_layer Hope this helps!
