Adobe Museo Sans (not display) is coming out with different weights.


on the Styles it says 900 but Dev mode says 700.


I’ve checked with our Devs and it looks like we have to manually change the fonts but im still unsure why even in Figma it is labeled incorrectly.


Our Devs also ran in to a bug where it can name the font weight to 600. This might be a optimisation thing tho so that might be our issue more than anything. Still tho, why would Figma/Dev mode label it differently?

I Download the Font officially from Adobe and the below is correct.

Our support team has recently noticed that the difference in Museo Sans font weights between design mode and dev mode in Figma is due to the font’s metadata. Designers use the style name for font weight, while developers rely on the numeric weight from the metadata. For instance, Museo Sans 700 has a metadata weight of 600.


To sync the font weights in both modes, you can edit the font metadata using online tools (search “edit font metadata”). You can either change the style name to match the numeric weight or adjust the numeric weight to match the style name. Alternatively, you can contact the font creator to address this metadata issue.
