Hello,

I recently started a new Figma design with two new fonts, “Cinzel” and “Lemon Milk.” I downloaded both fonts, restarted Figma, and began designing the typography scale. At first, I was able to use both fonts with no problem, but then the next time I loaded Figma, the “Lemon Milk” font was “missing.”

I could not replace the font, nor could I search for the font again in the Typography search dialog box. I’ve tried to restart Figma, clear the cache, reinstall the fonts, and restart my device. Nothing seems to be working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Josean_Garcia, Thank you for reaching out and welcome to our community!

I appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot this. We’d like to know more about the issue you are experiencing.

  1. Are you experiencing a situation where the “Lemon Milk” font cannot be found when selecting “Installed by you” in the font selector?

If so, and you have already installed this font on your computer, please verify if the “Lemon Milk” font is present in your computer’s font manager.

You can refer to the “2. Install the font on your computer” section in this article for guidance: Add a font to Figma Design

  2. Could you please clarify if you are experiencing this on the Desktop app or in your browser?

If you are using Figma in your web browser, please ensure to install the Figma font helper. After installation, reload any open files in your browser to start using your font.

You can refer to the “3. Install the Figma font helper” section in this article for guidance: Add a font to Figma Design.

  3. When you mentioned that the “Lemon Milk” font was “missing,” did you receive a missing fonts error message?

If so, the most common reasons for missing fonts are:

    • Missing installed fonts: The file is using a local font that you do not have installed.

    • Conflicting versions: The file is using a different (older or newer) version of the font.

    • Missing font styles: The style may be missing from a download, or you might be using a different version of the font that does not include that weight or style.

If you have already followed the Add a font to Figma Design guide based on the version (desktop/browser) you are using, it is possible that the font you have installed is not the same version as the one used in the file.

If you wish to use the version stored on your computer, you can select the correct weight in the toggle of the Missing Fonts warning menu. Please note that this change affects the font version for all editors on the File and may generate the same error for any other editors who have a different version installed.

For further details, please refer to this guide: Missing font alert in Figma Design.

I hope this information is helpful. Thanks againg for reaching out!

  1. I can not find the “Lemon Milk” font from the search option. However, the “Cinzel” font can be searched for and selected.

  2. I am using the Desktop application.

  3. At first there was an option to replace the font, but now the font isn’t even visible to use.
