Hey @Carlota, thanks for reaching out!
Since you’re on macOS Catalina (10.15.7), I understand the challenges with font installation. The Figma Font Installer requires macOS 11 or later, so unfortunately, Catalina isn’t compatible.
If you’re using Figma in a browser, here are the minimum browser requirements:
- Chrome 99 or later
- Firefox 101 or later
- Safari 16 or later
- Microsoft Edge 121 or later
For more details, here are links on System Requirements and Adding Fonts to Figma.
Let me know if you need anything else!
Thank you so much @Gayani_S. Just one more question: Does the font installer work in iOS? I have an iPad I can use.
Waiting for your reply 🤗
Hi @Carlota, thank you for your patience! At the moment, the font installer isn’t available for mobile devices, so it’s unfortunately not possible to use local fonts on iPad, Chromebooks, or similar devices. I know this may not be ideal, especially if you prefer working on your iPad.
For now, I’d recommend using a desktop device to access your local fonts, or you can work with Google Fonts, which are directly available in Figma when using your iPad.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions—I’m here to help! 😊
You can use Figurative app and Fontcase. It let you install custom fonts on iPad
Nice, thank you! I will try.
Thank you so much for your help 😊
