File access has been changed to View Only

While I was working on a design file, The page refreshed, and when it reloaded my editing rights were changed to View Only. Now I can’t edit the file itself.

Is there are fix to this?

Hi @Mark_Aldrich ,
In order to have access to your file, the owner of the file would need to provide you with editing rights: “can edit”.

If you are the owner of the file, I recommend you to make sure that you’ve logged into the correct Figma account and are accessing the file.

If you are still running into issues, feel free to reach our support team with the URL of the file you can’t edit so they can take a closer look at your permissions: here

While I was working on a design file, the page unexpectedly refreshed. After it reloaded, I found that I no longer have the ability to make edits to the file. My editing privileges have been restricted to “View Only” mode. As a result, I am unable to modify the file.

Hey @Basit_Sultani ! As explained above, please ask the owner of the file to provide you the editing rights: “can edit” so you can edit the file.
