Figma Type Tokens: Mode Switching and Variable Display Issue

Jason_Csizmadi2

I have type variables bound to a type style, and when I switch modes from desktop to iOS, I can’t see the changes in the type style properties. It always shows the first column (Mode), which in this case would be desktop. Any ideas on why this happens?

  1. This first screen has the desktop (Mode) active.
  2. This second screen has iOS (Mode) selected.

The type scale changes visually but the display of the variables is not changed unless I go into dev mode. Is this as intended?

Hey @Jason_Csizmadi2 - I apologize for the long wait in response. I had actually picked up your topic earlier, but I wanted to check internally about this.

I’ve gotten confirmation that this is a feature limitation that is known at the moment. This is on the engineering radar, but I don’t have a timeline on when this will be addressed.
