Figma frames preview in Notion displays whole file in stead of frame

This happened to us today too, about 6 hours ago I was working in Notion and all the frames were appearing properly and then suddenly it was showing the first page in our design file.

I reported this to their support and they said it might be a bug and it has been assigned to someone but no timeline for fixing it has been provided.

Are there any news about this issue? It really hurts when you’re doing documentation and you cannot even see if what you’re linking it’s right.
Something that I’ve observed is that the preview links to the Figma file (and frame) right, but cannot get the image sadly.

I received a message from support that they escalated it, whatever that may be. Hope they are able to fix this soon. But, keep posting it and also get to support.

It seems to be fixed for me!! 🥳 🥳 I don’t know if it will work for others, but at least for me it just works now.

Im still having this issue.
I use frame preview in notion to aid my design system documentation, but randomly previews reset to the first page of the figma file, and this happens almost daily. I have to go thru previews one by one and hit “Reload preview” to fix this, which is a bit frustration.

Any fix for this? Thanks

Could you please make sure you have selected the frame you want to share, and then click Share in the toolbar (CMD (Ctrl for Windows) + L)?

I can embed the Figma preview without issues, it looks all good at first, but whenever I reload the notion document, some of the previews are replaced with the Figma file thumbnail. A couple of times I tried reloading them one by one manually, but with every refresh some of them always randomly go missing.
I can’t say for sure whether it’s Figma’s issue or Notion’s. But I ended up replacing the embeds with pngs, because I need to share the document with other people and be confident that they will see the previews properly.

Thanks for the clarifications. In Figma, there are instances where you might be redirected to the top page. This could happen when content was moved between pages, sections were added or removed, or even when content was cut and pasted, depending on the link’s target.

This usually occurs because the embed link points to a specific frame, and some action has changed the node ID for that frame. When the system can’t find the old ID, it defaults to loading the node ID of the first page or the thumbnail.

So, could you double check the link to the frame is working properly? If the link is still effective, this issue might be on Notion’s side, so can you reach out to them?
