Hello guys. Please help me out on this Issue.


While I am working on Figma, it automatically restarts the app as if it was force closed and again reloads itself to the project which I was working on.


Its happening from last 2-3 days. I even cannot reproduce the procedure because it happens randomly at any time. It shuts down the app and opens up on its own again without even having to reopen the app. I tried reinstalling the app still facing the same issue.


Please help me out with this issue.

Hi @vaibhav_deshmukh - are you on a mac or a PC?


Can you tell me what desktop app version you currently have installed (I know you mentioned you’ve reinstalled the app, but I just want to verify the version to cover all bases).


Are you using the production, or the beta version of our app?


Have you seen this happen in the web version of Figma as well? Something like the tab you have Figma on suddenly shows you an ‘unable to connect’ error and requires a refresh?


Does this only seem to happen when you work in one particular file, or does it still shut down suddenly no matter what you’re doing?


Are you served any error message when this happens? If so, what does it say?

Give this a try: uninstalling/reinstalling the app is a good start, but try clearing the app cache as well: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/22380853110551-Clear-the-Figma-desktop-app-cache


Then, as you work, can you see if you still have trouble with sudden app closure? Let me know.
