Differences in "viewer" vs "viewer-restricted"?

Hi all,

Where can I find more information about the difference between “viewer” and “viewer-restricted”?

I’ve found some topics in this forum but they were all unanswered and closed.

Are you sure this help article is up to date? I had “viewer” and “viewer-restricted” roles in my team and at one point I could swear they were able to both view and comment within designs (and figjams). And now, a viewer seat seems to only allow that: view-only; no ability to comment. What happened (and is this purposeful as a way to get more people to upgrade to “full” or am I doing something wrong)?
