Hi!
Our design system has a component for highlighting the focus state. It is added to various second-level components. In developer mode, this component is defined either as svg or as a layout object with css styles. We are struggling with hypotheses about what it depends on. We didn’t find an answer! Who can give us an answer on what it depends?
Hey @Artyom_Cherepanov - thanks for details! I actually forwarded your post over to our engineering team, and there were a couple of things I wanted to pass over:
- First, just as an FYI – you can turn off the “automatic icon detection” – however, that doesn’t hacve an effect on what the codegen does.
- Currently, we show as .svg if Figma determines that a layer is an ‘icon’
They are working on improvements on this to make things more clear 😃
Also, they were asking if you were willing to share a recording that reproduces the behavior you’re describing. They can check to see if there was maybe a false-positive in the detection of an icon. Let me know!
The issue cause for this case was found by collaboration with @Artyom_Cherepanov and @dkozyulya_cs: the autolayout presence is a key to solving the problem
For auto layouts Figma shows it as a border, and for (regular) frames it shows it as an SVG shape.
Glad you were able to collab and get this worked out!
I marked your reply as the solution, but will leave this topic open for now, if you or @Artyom_Cherepanov want to drop any other comments.
