Hello, guys. Recently, one of my fellow developers came across an issue: he has the “viewer” mode in Figma for all the files in the project team, and, we he tries to inspect an element, unfortunately the color is outdated. It shows, for example “Red v1” instead of “Red v2”.
On one hand, the color used to be “Red v1”, but now it is “Red v2”.
Also, as an alternative option, is there a way of restricting the developer to have access to the dev mode, but can’t edit the Figma elements? The developer only wants to use the Dev Mode, and I don’t want them to eventually mess with the file (so someday I can see a change in an element, but can’t figure out who made that, even with the history - because it takes time)

Hello there, Thank you for reaching out about this. I appreciate you taking the time to explore and troubleshoot.
Without taking a closer look at this file, it might difficult to investigate the cause further. I recommend reaching out to our support team directly using this URL.: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001744374
When you get in touch with our support team, please provide the following details:
The email address associated with your Figma account
The direct links to the file where the issue is occurring, as well as any related library files, and please add support-share@figma.com as an Editor to those files (this won’t impact your billing).
A brief video recording/screenshot that shows the color issue. Please ensure the entire Figma window is visible, including the Properties and Layers Panel, and that the relevant layers are expanded.
The email address linked to the Figma account of the collaborators who were impacted
For your alternative option, on the Organization and Enterprise plans, a full Dev Mode seat includes all the features of Dev Mode is available as a standalone paid seat for people who don’t need the design features of Figma design.
