I can move the color options popup window to see the color picker, but it would be better to just move the color picker magnification to always follow the picked cursor.

You can move the Fill window but the quickest way is to not open the Fill window at all, just press i to call the color picker when you have something selected. (Not trying to invalidate your suggestion, just offering a workaround for the meantime.)
It’s so disturbing when u want to change the color of some object, the color picker appears on the workspace which makes it hard to use the pipe to get a color from your workspace
