In the Web version I can open the same document into multiple tabs. This is useful (especially with multiple monitors) for:

So this solution isn’t the thing the OP asked for. I for instance don’t want two windows open, I want one window and two tabs open to the same project, different page.
How is that better than just switching pages?
The reason I asked about my situation is I wanted to see different views of the same file at the same time.
Yes We need not new window but just another tab…
