Hey @Artaherzadeh, in your file browser, do you have a “drafts to move” section in your sidebar. All of your drafts should be there. If you don’t have a team, you should be able to create a free starter team and move drafts into that space. LMK if that helps!

Hi Tom,

I just emailed you (title: Alireza) a video of my experience (problems and my solution + my suggestion to make Drafts better)
I hope it helps.

About the solution you provided, I exactly did the same thing earlier today but this is not a perfect solution in my opinion because I don’t want to have a team, I like to have my own personal drafts outside of teams and be able to easily navigate between them while having access to all my teams. They’re just personal projects plus many design systems and other files from everywhere. My Drafts is still a mess because all the files are just in there and there is no way to organize them.
Right now Figma looks like a software focusing on team and team members.
No need to mention that an extra step is added when opening a file from the community. I used to click the button fast and change tabs rapidly to open all of them at once but now I have to wait until I see a modal, then click my personal team and switch to another community file, and repeat the process and now, it takes time. ( usually, I open to find my favorite community designs for example “Input fields” and open them (like 10 tabs), then click the “Open in Figma” button.

Sure, but I’m a bit concerned about my files. Am I going to lose them? And what’s with having drafts inside a team? That’s a bit confusing, honestly. I used to access my files really easily, but now I have to switch teams to see their files. I starred some files and projects as it suggested, but that happened on a different team.

You won’t lose any files. They can still be accessed and edited in the “drafts to move” space. And you can move them into a team of your choosing. The files would get starred in whatever team they live in. While there is a bit more friction when switching between teams (this is great feedback), there are also other benefits like clearer team association and the ability to use Pro tier features (if you are on a pro team) in your drafts which wasn’t the case before. Hope this helps!

I lost access to all of my “drafts to move” because I left a team and oh surprise, the “drafts to move” were actually linked to that team. Anyone experienced this? I’m desperate, I lost basically all of my work because of this.

Hey @val4 the “drafts to move” are files that you would have been the owner of and in that space because they were not linked to a team. Did you move any drafts to a different team from that space or switch to an account with a different email by any chance?

This change is a major inconvenience.

I keep all my rough and in progress work separate from any team until I’m happy with the design and am ready for team reviews.

Those files don’t need to be in any team, and shouldn’t be in any team, until I put them there.

To get the local drafts folder functionality back, I would have to purchase another team license just for me.

The alternative is dumping everything into the team - with no hierarchy or folder structure, then spend time managing access levels to each individual file.

This was a terrible idea, and the worst software update this year, easily!

Thank you very much for these problems!
How could this even be invented?

P.S.
The next genius step would be to limit Drafts in the team?

Drafts aside. The changes have completely messed up my folder structures, across several massive company setups. Spent three hours reorganising everything. Not good at all. 😕
