Substract problem

Hello,

I have a problem using the substract function in figma.

Consider this :

It is composed of two shapes : one including the green “D” color shape and his white outlines, and the other one the black shape at the center. The black shape is at the top of the other one.

What i’m trying to do is to use the substract function to cut out the black shape from the other shape ; i want to see the grey background through the letter.

After using substract, I see the background instead of black shape, but why is the green part of the letter disapearing in the process (the whole remaining visible shape is full white) ? I can still see the green color in the “selection colors” section on the right.

This is getting me mad, can you please tell me what’s wrong ?

Thank you !

Edouard
