Question

Text rendering on transparent background

Benoit

Hello, I’ve been getting the following behavior for a long time but never though of asking about it: when text is set against a transparent background it renders very poorly. Is anyone else experiencing the same? I’ve searched the forum and didn’t find it mentioned. What I’ve been doing to get around the problem is to set a background transparency of 0.2% so that it renders properly. So, is it a bug or a “feature”? 😉
Thanks for any help.

Have you set an inner shadow on the frame to create that border line? Setting an inner shadow on a frame that has no background color applied does something like this.

Thank you Brian ; yes, that’s an inner shadow but it’s usually not a big issue. I’m more concerned about text rendering, if there’s anything that can be done…
