I’ve created a prototype with variables incl. strings for text layers and booleans for showing hiding input fields.
It works fine on Mac, Chrome/ Edge / Safari and in the Figma client.
~ But when someone on a PC is viewing it in chrome, it does not show. Which ofc. is a problem when all your users are using a PC
Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hey @Mikkel_Sonnenschein1, thank you for reaching out!
Could you please check if the users are running Figma un on all full desktop operating systems (such as macOS, Windows, or Linux), as well as ChromeOS?
You can find more information on the browsers and operating systems requirements in our Help Center: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039827194-What-are-the-system-requirements-for-Figma
Thanks,
Gayani
Hey @Mikkel_Sonnenschein1, thanks for the clarification!
Can you provide a direct link to the file here, and invite support-share@figma.com with “can edit” permission so I can look into this further? Note that users with @figma.com emails on your team do not count towards your billing.
Thank you,
Gayani
Hi Gayani,
Thanks for the reply.
Just tested it on a PC that runs on newest version of Windows /Chrome.
~ And to clarify the prototype is showing all but the text layers
that are based on variables.
Hey @Mikkel_Sonnenschein1, thanks for sharing the file with me! I was able to see the text layer myself. I am double checking this with the team and I will update you asap.
Appreciate your patience in the meantime!
Hey @Mikkel_Sonnenschein1, the team needs more information eg specific OS, setup, etc.
I’ve just created a support ticket on your behalf. Your ticket number is #1132289, for reference. I’ve shared your file link with the team.
Our support team usually takes up to 24 hours to reply back to emails - tends to be quicker than that in normal circumstances. However, please be aware that we are facing increased contact volume so there might be a delay.
Appreciate your patience in the meantime!
