I use keyboard shortcuts (as I’m sure most “power users” do), so I don’t need the toolbar for anything. Now it’s just blocking valuable visible area. Please add an option to hide it.
I know I’m not alone, because there’s already even a Chrome extension that does this. (How to Hide Figma Toolbar (Bottom) in the new UI3 - SaaS Design) Unfortunately that doesn’t help in the desktop app.

Or give an option to change it’s position at the very least.
Well… at least to me, it doesn’t matter where it is, it’s still blocking valuable screen space (especially on a laptop screen) for zero benefit
Toolbars are essential for beginners, but pros have different needs. That’s why you need UI customization settings. (I haven’t even seen the Photoshop toolbar in decades :-P)
And yeah, I know the UI3 toolbar change theoretically freed up space because previously the toolbar took up the full width of the screen. But it’s not really the case, because when looking at a layout, you need to leave space for the toolbar so it doesn’t cover up anything. It is in the center after all, which is where you’re looking at.
Otherwise I’m pretty happy with the UI3 stuff. (People tend to always hate UI changes, whatever they are, so I know this is not easy

I don’t mind the changes (although muscle memory for sidebar values is a bit messed up) — but I really do mind the toolbar that I never used getting prime real estate that covers my design.
Ideally we could just hide/show it, or at the very least move it out of the way.
