Hi, i have recently installed windows 8.1 on my laptop and when i install Figma it says an errror “The procedure entry point DiscardVirtualMemory could not be located in the dynamic link library.” please help me to find the solution.

Please review the minimum requirements for the desktop app on Windows.
You mentioned you’re on Windows 8 – you will need to be on Windows 10 at minimum in order to use the desktop app properly.
